Day-by-Day Itinerary

Meet up on Simba Street, off City Hall Way in Nairobi, for boarding. Depart for Mt. Kenya Naromoru Gate for registration, then proceed to Met Camp to begin the hike. Trek through the marshy lower moorland and upper moorland zones, past lobelias and montane vegetation, into the magnificent Teleki Valley. Follow the valley, past a river crossing, aiming for Mackinders Camp (4,300m ASL) or Lunch Point (3,900m) as a realistic target. Enjoy scenic views of the peaks before a mandatory turn-back and descent back to Met Camp. Board buses for departure back to Nairobi.
